Christopher Lyon grew up in Washington PA and was introduced to martial arts at a young age. Over the years he has studied various martial arts beginning with Shotokan Karate. Though every art studied along the way was impactful, Christopher began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey in 2014 and was awarded his brown belt in 2021 from Professor Chad Fazenbaker. Christopher is a Licensed social worker/therapist in the area that works as a professor and outpatient therapist. He is currently working on completing his PhD in Psychology. The Psychological component and self care aspects are what brought Christopher to Jiu Jitsu and what keeps him coming back. Christopher enjoys mentoring the youth that come to the facility and using any opportunity he can to teach life lessons through his art.
